Jazz at the Wheatsheaf - Bede Trio

Eschewing predictable and rigid forms for playing Jazz, Bede Trio takes influence from Northumbrian and Scandinavian folk music, with strong, simple melodies and a collectively fluid approach to improvising. These musicians are no strangers to the fusion of Jazz with other genres, and this one-off lineup (Michael Dunlop, Albert Hills Wright, Dan Kemshell) showcases their creativity. This performance comes shortly after the release of Dunlop's debut album Bede, recorded over a few days in rural Northumberland.
